Christian Empowerment Microfinance (CEMFIN) envisions more of the Zambian people experiencing the kingdom of heaven on earth. We invest in entrepreneurs, students, and young people so that they can extend economic, social, and spiritual transformation to their families and communities.
Christian Empowerment Microfinance
Western Zambia is one of the materially poorest parts of the country. Christian Empowerment Microfinance (CEMFIN) is extending the kingdom of heaven to the region. Since 2012, CEMFIN has offered micro-loans, basic business training, and spiritual encouragement to support the growth of small businesses. More recently it has added a youth empowerment program, PEER Teens Zambia. CEMFIN is based in Mongu and hopes to eventually expand closer to the Angolan border and throughout the rest of Zambia.

Before I met Christian Empowerment Microfinance, our products have never been competitive in the international market, but now we are able to do something that can be admired by people because of CEMFIN’s support. Before we met with CEMFIN, we were struggling, but now we’re on the road. We also learned from CEMFIN how to work as a group and manage our finances commercially.

CEMFIN helped me get things that I couldn’t afford to buy before. When I started my business, I had to borrow chairs, but with the support of CEMFIN, I managed to return the chairs I had borrowed and now I am independent, I have my own chairs. Now my business is getting better, the things I’ve never had in my business now that I have them. The Christian Empowerment Microfinance they really help people who are already in business.
